Land Acknowledgement
At Journey Psychology, we acknowledge that we are located on Treaty Six Territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Regions Two and Four. This land has long served as a traditional gathering place, meeting ground, and travelling route for many First Peoples of Canada, including the Nêhiyaw-Askiy (Plains Cree), Ĩyãħé Nakón makóce (Stoney), Tsuut’ina, Michif Piyii (Métis), as well as the Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Dene, and Blackfoot peoples.
We honor the First Peoples of the land we practice on and recognize the vibrant Indigenous communities that continue to grow and thrive across Alberta’s urban centers. We acknowledge our responsibility to respect and uplift the heritage, cultures, and lived experiences of Indigenous communities and clients.
With deep gratitude, we recognize the enduring relationships Indigenous Peoples have with this land. Journey Psychology is committed to ongoing learning, reconciliation, and building meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities through collaboration, connection, and care.
